This is where water equipment that can store, transport, and distribute thousands of gallons comes into play. Water equipment is commonly used in the agriculture, construction, and mining industries, and by public works crews. On farms and ranches, it’s used for watering livestock, cleaning chicken coops, irrigating crops, and more. Construction companies use it to prepare soil for compacting ahead of asphalt paving, washing tools and equipment, and suppressing dust that could otherwise hamper workers’ visibility and health. Water Towers & Tanks

Water towers and tanks generally range in capacity from 50 to 20,000 gallons (189 to 75,700 liters), are available in both portable and stationary configurations, and are generally used to refill other water distribution equipment. Water tanks provide a further option: They can be incorporated onto an existing vehicle as an alternative to buying a fully featured water truck.

Water Trucks

Water trucks have capacities ranging from less than 2,000 to more than 10,000 gal (7,570 to 37,850 L). They typically combine a water tank with the cab and chassis of a pickup truck, semi-truck, or articulated truck. Many water trucks are equipped with a spraying system on their front, side(s), and/or rear, and some are built for off-road use. Water Trailers

Water trailers have capacities ranging from about 50 to 10,000 gal. Some consist of a tank mounted on a two- or four-wheel trailer that’s pulled by a vehicle, while others are pre-mounted to a platform that you’ll mount on a truck or trailer. Smaller-capacity water trailers usually have a polyethylene plastic tanks, while larger ones typically have a stainless-steel or aluminum tank. Both types include pumps, nozzles, and other components needed to transfer and spray water.

Water Wagons

Also called “water tankers,” water wagons can haul in excess of 5,000 gal (18,900 L), which is distributed using pumps, nozzles, water cannons, and other components built into the front, sides, and rear. You’ll find new, used, and custom models for sale that may variously be equipped with such features as off-road tires, in-cab water distribution controls, and in-tank baffles that limit side-to-side water surges during transport.
