About New Holland Construction Equipment

The foundation of what would eventually become New Holland’s agriculture and construction equipment businesses began in a one-man repair shop that Abe Zimmerman started in 1895 in New Holland, Pennsylvania. After several acquisitions that saw Ford and then Fiat owning New Holland, the New Holland brand now belongs to CNH Industrial, which also owns leading agriculture and construction equipment manufacturer Case. World headquarters are now in Turin, Italy, and U.S. operations remain in New Holland, Pennsylvania.

New Holland produced its first backhoe loader in 1966 and its 200,000th skid steer loader in 2007. In 2008, New Holland debuted its “green engine” with the E215B crawler excavator, touting reduced emissions falling well below required regulations. Through CNH Industrial, New Holland’s construction equipment division reaches 170 countries via 300-plus dealer offices, manufacturing plants, and R&D centers.

The construction arm of New Holland produces skid steer, compact track, backhoe, tractor, and compact wheel loaders; compact excavators; and an array of attachments, including brooms, buckets, blades, grapples, rakes, buckets, compactors, lift booms, and hammers. The company’s FleetForce data-gathering tools, meanwhile, provide customized information aimed at providing efficiency and productivity benefits related to a customer’s fleet of New Holland construction equipment.
