    About Manitou

Manitou registered its trademark in 1957 when Marcel Braud helped build the company’s first truck, the MC5. In 1968, the company created its first four-wheel drive machine, and the rest is history.

Today, Manitou sells telehandlers, rotating telehandlers, masted forklift trucks, and truck-mounted forklifts. But these models aren’t the end of the line, because there are also multiple attachments for different jobs, including fork carriages, buckets, clamps, forks and grabs, jibs and cranes, platforms, concrete skips, sweepers, high pressure cleaners, winches, and mining attachments.

All of these different body styles and attachment options put Manitou in a unique position to serve a wide range of industries. Some of these include agriculture, construction, mining, oil and gas, logistics and transport, warehousing, railway, defense, aerospace, infrastructure maintenance, printing companies and paper mills, ports, airports, lumber, food processing, and others.

The company also offers Manitou Easy Manager, a service that helps owners keep track of their equipment, including status and location, information about distance traveled and hours operated, and tools to help you optimize the usage of your machinery for maximum efficiency.
