Vermeer History

On a small farm in Pella, Iowa, Gary Vermeer built a mechanical hoist to modify his farm wagon. Building upon the success of this tool, in 1948, Vermeer opened his one-person shop, Vermeer Manufacturing Company.

The Vermeer stand-on skid-steer lineup has an operating capacity ranging from 500 to 1,600 pounds (227 to 726 kg), and an elevated operator platform for an unobstructed view of equipped attachments.
