    About Skyjack

Skyjack is a global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers touted for their reliability and quality. Skyjack’s products include various models of vertical mast lifts, DC electric scissor lifts, rough terrain scissor lifts, articulating booms, telescopic booms, and telehandlers. Similar to scissor lifts, Skyjack notes its booms also use a relay-based control system featuring color-coded and numbered wiring.

Founded in 1985, Skyjack claims it was the first company to introduce the swing-out component to scissor lifts and the first to launch narrow and high aerial platforms, such as its SJ3226 model. After becoming a publicly traded company in 1994, Skyjack became part of the Linamar Corporation, a global manufacturer of components used in automotive powertrains, agriculture equipment, and other equipment that started in 1996 and that’s based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. Linamar operates 58 plants globally.

In the mid-2000s, Skyjack acquired two telehandler product lines, including from Carelift Equipment and Volvo. In 2013, Skyjack celebrated the production of its 250,000th machine and production of its 100,000th SJ3219 model, which Skyjack claims makes the company the home of the most popular scissor platform worldwide.
