About Hitachi

Headquartered in Japan, Hitachi is a worldwide construction and mining machinery manufacturer that produces excavators, wheel loaders, and off-highway trucks. Hitachi offers excavators and wheel loaders ranging in size from compact to midsize and large machines, as well as off-highway dump trucks for use in the mining sector.

Its compact construction equipment boosts productivity on space-constrained jobsites. Mini excavators like the Hitachi ZX35 offer a compelling blend of compact size, power, and the versatility to use a variety of attachments. Hitachi mini wheel loaders can be used for basic tasks in all seasons and offer the option of swapping their buckets for pallet forks for loading and unloading cargo pallets.

Hitachi crawler excavators, like the ZX135, have been a staple product of the brand use smart technologies like Solution Linkage Assist, a machine control solution that uses sensor data to help operators reach their excavation targets more efficiently. The medium to large wheel loaders feature bucket capacities that range from 1.4 to 8.9 yards3 (1.1 to 6.8 meters3) that boost productivity for quarry and mine operations.

Designed for significant power use, Hitachi large and ultra-large crawler excavators have operating weights over 880 tons (800 metric tons) for stable operation in large open-cast mines. Hitachi also manufactures rigid-frame haul trucks (or off-highway trucks) that carry up to 326 t (296 mt) of material per load for mine and quarry applications.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Over the years, Hitachi has refined its machines’ assistance and management technologies to improve performance and increase operational uptime. Hitachi ConSite remotely monitors the operational status of Hitachi machines, supplies information such as operating time, fuel consumption, oil degradation, and more, and reports on any abnormal signs before onboard fault codes cropping up and delaying the work day.
