210T Long Reach Excavator with 23.5m Reach capability comprising a Tripple Boom configuration c/w 3.4m Dipper. The machine is based on a Hitachi Ex1200 which was heavily modified by Van Leeuwenn Katwijk Group in Holland in 2012 with upgrades to the undercarriage, triple boom configuration and the use of 3No EX1900 Lift Rams on the main boom. This machine has great versatility in use:- - Demolition works – can handle up to a 15T Shear (Not included) - Dredging works – either using a bucket with any variation on Ex1200 dipper lengths – or with a drop bar and orange-peel grab for dredging at depth for demolition - Use as a heavy-lift excavator for placing precast concrete armouring units – noting that it can handle 20T Accropodes / X Blocs at full reach (i.e. @ 23m radius) when it was fitted with a fully hydraulic rotating quick-release system Please refer to attachments for details of reach capability and a 2013 Dutch magazine article on its conversion and upgrades For transportation purposes, the following loads are required 1) The excavator base machine @ 85T 2) The Ballast weights @ 35T + 6T 3) 2No Tracks @ 25T each 4) Base boom & mid-section @ 20T 5) Bucket, drop-bar, misc. extension beams & walkways etc @ 25T – noting that all these items are included with the machine This machine undertook an engine rebuild @ 15,460Hrs following a failure of the throttle mechanism in late 2025 but the in-house engine rebuild did not prove to be satisfactory. In March 2026, a new Recon Long Block engine was commissioned and ordered from Diesel Equipment Trading in Holland with the new Recon engine ready and reinstalled into the machine in July 2026. Commissioning of the new engine and electronic throttle system with an all-in cost of circa £56,000 was recently completed leaving the machine now ready for sale. The machine has been parked in our Kircubbin Yard since completing its last contract at Brodick Ferry (Aran Island, West coast Scotland) in July 2023 so any buyer will need to undertake a check on hydraulic hoses, electrical wiring, lubes etc prior to making the machine ready for any planned project work. We also have a few accessories, spare parts and hydraulic components available to purchase which are compatible with this machine which can be discussed in further detail with any prospective buyer. These additional optional items include a heavy duty Riddle bucket with CW70 head, an Atlas Copco HB4200 rockhammer headstock c/w adapter for a CW70 head, a number of specialist check valves and quick release hydraulic couplings, some spare hydraulic hoses and some replacement service items including Filters etc.
