Description
This Utility FS2CDHA 53' 4000AE Drop Deck Trailer is built for operators who need a strong, versatile step deck trailer for demanding freight applications. With an 80,000 lb. evenly distributed payload capacity, 73,000 lb. GVWR, and a 39,000 lb. coil package, this trailer is a serious working spec for hauling steel, coils, pipe, machinery, building materials, and other heavy flatbed freight.
The trailer features a 53' overall length, 102" overall width, and a 21" drop deck design with an 11' front deck and 40-1/4" rear deck height. The front deck height is listed at 59-5/8" on a 47" fifth wheel height, giving operators a practical deck layout for freight that benefits from lower rear deck height and increased loading flexibility.
Built with strength in mind, this trailer includes aluminum crossmembers on 12" centers, a 5/8" x 4" high-strength steel bottom flange, a 22" deep 7-gauge steel one-piece frame web, and an 80,000 PSI high-strength steel top flange. The deck uses a 1-1/8" extruded aluminum flat top floor with hardwood nailing strips at each side rail for added utility.
For cargo securement, this drop deck is equipped with Utility’s Adjustable Load Securement System integrated into the aluminum side rail and track. It includes 12 sliding web cinches, all located on the roadside, along with aluminum outside-type side pockets, pipe spools, rear pockets, and an extruded aluminum rub rail on the sides.
The running gear includes Hendrickson INTRAAX air ride suspension, a fixed front axle, rear axle 2-position slider, Hendrickson solenoid operated dump valve, Bendix air brake components, Bendix TABS-6 2S/1M ABS, and a ConMet PreSet+ aluminum hub system. It also comes equipped with 255/70R22.5 Michelin XZE Load Range H tires, steel hub-pilot wheels, and 16-1/2" x 7" brakes.
Additional features include Grote LED lighting, moisture-resistant multi-purpose wiring harness, DOT conspicuity tape, black anti-sail mudflaps, additional mudflaps behind the front axle, Jost 2-speed landing gear, UTM black enamel finish with primer undercoat on steel surfaces, and natural finish aluminum components.
