Moline, Illinois-based John Deere is continually working to make its machines more efficient and to provide loggers with better data- and information-sharing capabilities. To that end, the company is adding support for the TimberRite H-16 Control System to its Waratah 600-Series Harvesting Head-equipped tracked harvesters and tracked swing machines. (The system was previously only available for use with Waratah 200- and 400-Series heads.)

The "Rite" Tool For The Job

Waratah’s TimberRite H-16 Control System is a platform designed to increase the productivity and accuracy of the harvesting and processing head attachments used on forestry industry harvesters and swing machines. The H-16 supports a number of features, including a pair of prioritization systems that give operators more control over how the head performs under various circumstances. The preselection prioritization system, for instance, configures settings based on operator selection, followed by timber length and diameter. The value-based optimization system, on the other hand, uses log grade, assortment value, stem prognosis, length and diameter matrices, and demand inputs to fine-tune how it functions.

    Information Please

The H-16 Control System also lets loggers track work and repair statistics, navigation, and machine data. Other features include support for the StanForD file format for easy data sharing with many third-party forestry industry systems and integration with John Deere’s JDLink telematics equipment management solution.

Operators and owners interested in integrating Waratah’s TimberRite H-16 Control System with their attachments can have it installed at the factory or by their favorite John Deere dealer. You’ll find a huge selection of new and used John Deere forestry equipment for sale on MachineryTrader.com.
